Amityville, New York

Reiki and Energy Healing in Amityville, NY

Amityville sits right on the Nassau line, which means residents often look west out of habit. The treatment room is two and a half miles east, closer than most of what people drive across the border for.

Distance

About two and a half miles
Eight to ten minutes

Office

672 North Wellwood Ave, Suite 2
Lindenhurst, NY 11757

Practitioner

Rene D'Antona, Reiki Master and IET practitioner

The full range

Twelve treatments delivered by one person rather than a rota. Narrow it down by what brought you here.

The first appointment

Reiki energy healing

The least demanding thing here, and where most people start without much deliberation.

Rare across the border too

Integrated Energy Therapy

Scarce enough that people come east over the county line specifically for it.

A follow up

Chakra balancing

An opener works badly. This works well once there is a target worth aiming at.

Sleep is not the answer

Nervous system reboot

Aimed at exhaustion that sleeping longer has already failed to shift.

For the fidgeters

Sound bath healing

Tone rather than touch, which is easier if silence makes you restless.

The gentlest way in

Energy-infused facials

Nothing here is less intimidating, and the energy work still takes place.

Booked well ahead

Past life regression

Long and deliberate. Nobody does this one on a spur of the moment.

The forward half

Manifestation coaching

What follows the clearing, when the question stops being about the past.

Decent questions

Tarot card readings

Reflective, not predictive. You leave with things to consider, not answers.

Makes the drive count

Combination treatments

Two treatments in one trip, which stretches a drive across the village a good deal further.

Genuinely small

Classes and workshops

One room and one practitioner set the group size, not a marketing decision.

That filter comes back empty on its own. Pick another, or read the full service list.

Before you call

What the visit involves

Four stages, none of which anyone tends to explain, so here they are in order.

  1. 01

    You reach Rene

She picks up herself, or calls back the same day. She asks what is wrong and says where she would start. No forms in advance.

  2. 02

    You drive east

Eight to ten minutes depending on where in the village you set off from. Park directly outside and wait in reception.

  3. 03

    Conversation, then treatment

Ten minutes of talking before a hand goes anywhere, so the hour is shaped around you rather than a booking code.

  4. 04

You go at your own pace

There is no queue behind you. Rene explains what she noticed and whether a second appointment earns its keep.

Getting here from Amityville

East along Sunrise, off at Wellwood

Broadway carries most of Amityville, so the usual route is north up Route 110 to Sunrise Highway, then east. Come off at Wellwood Avenue and turn north. From the village end near the shops on lower Broadway that is eight minutes, ten at school run time.

Merrick Road works as an alternative and avoids the highway altogether. It becomes Montauk Highway as you cross into Copiague and Lindenhurst, and Wellwood comes up on the left before the village center.

The treatment room is Suite 2, part of The Balance Health and Wellness Center where Joseph A. D'Antona, DAOM practices. Parking is free, off street and directly outside.

  • Up Broadway

North on Route 110 to the Sunrise Highway interchange.

  • East on Sunrise

Two exits. Stay in the service lanes if merging is a nuisance.

  • Avoiding the highway

Merrick Road east instead. It turns into Montauk Highway on the way.

  • The final turn

North on Wellwood Avenue, past the plaza entrance to number 672.

  • From the LIRR

Amityville is two stops west on the Babylon branch, then a cab north.

Why come east

Most people here look toward Nassau by default

Living on the county line makes Massapequa and the rest of the South Shore feel like the natural direction, and for plenty of things it is. For this particular kind of work the nearest practitioner covering Integrated Energy Therapy, past life regression and certification training happens to sit two and a half miles the other way.

One person handles all of it, so nobody gets passed between staff halfway through a course of sessions. Read more about Rene D'Antona, go through the frequently asked questions, or start with the articles on energy healing.

Nineteen years at it

Rene was working in this field before most of the South Shore offered any of it, and now certifies practitioners through the energy healing programs.

Shared with a physician

The building houses a doctor of acupuncture and Oriental medicine alongside the treatment room, which makes it a clinical setting rather than a private one.

Continuity of person

The voice on the phone is the practitioner. That covers meditation programs, spiritual guidance and wellness treatments.

Around the area

Towns on either side

Amityville is the westernmost of eleven. The rest appear on all service areas, with each treatment set out on the full service list.

Questions

What Amityville clients ask first

For ordinary relaxation work, certainly. For Integrated Energy Therapy or past life regression the picture thins out quickly in either direction, which is why people who want those specifically tend to end up driving east rather than west.

Sunrise most of the time, at roughly eight minutes. Merrick Road is barely slower and avoids merging altogether, so it wins at rush hour and around school pickup.

Yes. There is a waiting area at the front, and some treatments can be booked for two people. Mention it on the call so the room is set up for it.

A week is usually comfortable for most things. Past life regression wants longer because the appointment itself runs long and there are fewer slots for it.
