Bay Shore, New York

Reiki and Energy Healing in Bay Shore, NY

Bay Shore is the longest drive on this list at around seven miles. Nobody makes it by accident, and people who come west from here have almost always been looking for one specific thing rather than somewhere convenient.

Drive

Roughly seven miles west
Under twenty minutes on Sunrise

Office

672 North Wellwood Ave, Suite 2
Lindenhurst, NY 11757

Practitioner

Rene D'Antona, Reiki Master and IET practitioner

The whole list

Twelve treatments handled by one person in one room. Filter it down by whatever prompted the search.

The default opener

Reiki energy healing

Requires nothing from you in advance, which is why almost everybody starts with it.

Follows the first

Chakra balancing

Best once there is a defined thing to work on rather than a broad complaint.

Rest is not fixing it

Nervous system reboot

Built for tiredness that has stopped answering to a decent night's sleep.

Listening work

Sound bath healing

Tone rather than contact, useful for anyone who cannot lie still in silence.

The long one

Past life regression

Runs well beyond an hour, so it is worth pairing with the length of the drive.

Questions, unhurried

Tarot card readings

Reflective rather than predictive, and nothing is performed for effect.

Worth it from here

Combination treatments

Seven miles justifies two treatments in a visit more than almost anywhere else on the list.

Nothing sits there by itself. Try another filter, or work through the full service list.

Before you call

What you are driving out for

Worth reading properly when the round trip is the better part of an hour.

  1. 01

    Speaking to Rene

She takes the call herself or rings back that day, asks what is going on, and says where she would start. No forms beforehand.

  2. 02

    The drive west

Under twenty minutes on Sunrise. Park outside Suite 2 and wait indoors rather than sitting out in the car.

  3. 03

    Conversation comes first

Ten minutes before treatment starts so the session suits the person who arrived, not the booking made a week ago.

  4. 04

    Going home

Nobody hurries the end of it. Rene tells you what she noticed and whether the drive is worth repeating.

Getting here from Bay Shore

Straight west on Sunrise Highway

Sunrise Highway is the only sensible route. Join it heading west and stay on it through Islip and Babylon before coming off at Wellwood Avenue. Under twenty minutes outside of rush hour, and the road does the work for you.

Montauk Highway is the scenic alternative and considerably slower, since it runs through the middle of every village between here and there. In summer, when the traffic around the Fire Island ferry terminal on Maple Avenue thickens up, Sunrise wins by a wide margin.

The room is Suite 2, inside The Balance Health and Wellness Center where Joseph A. D'Antona, DAOM practices. Free parking directly outside, which is a change from downtown Bay Shore.

  • Join Sunrise

Westbound. Everything else is a detour from this point.

  • Through Islip and Babylon

Stay on it. There is no reason to leave the highway early.

  • Exit at Wellwood

Then north. Half a mile of ordinary road to finish.

  • Summer warning

Avoid Montauk Highway when the ferry terminal is busy. Sunrise is far quicker.

  • Parking

Off street and free outside the door, unlike most of downtown.

Why come this far

You will pass other options on the way

Between Bay Shore and Lindenhurst there are several places offering an hour on a table. People who drive the full seven miles are generally not choosing between those, they are after Integrated Energy Therapy, past life regression or certification training, which thin out sharply once you start looking for them specifically.

Because one practitioner covers all of it, a course of sessions can be planned as a whole rather than assembled from whoever is free. There is more about Rene D'Antona, a set of frequently asked questions, and a run of articles on energy healing.

Practicing since 2007

Long enough to be certifying others, which happens through the energy healing programs rather than on the side.

Inside a wellness center

The building houses a doctor of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, with a front desk and a waiting area that exist properly.

One person start to finish

Every appointment, across meditation programs, spiritual guidance and wellness treatments.

West of here

Other towns on the list

Bay Shore is the eastern end of eleven towns. The rest are on all service areas, with each treatment set out on the full service list.

Questions

What Bay Shore clients ask first

For a general hour of relaxation, no, and Rene will say so on the phone. For the modalities that are hard to find at all, there is very little between here and there, which is why people making this drive usually know exactly what they are booking.

Sunrise Highway stays reasonable. Montauk Highway does not, particularly on weekends when the Fire Island ferry traffic builds around Maple Avenue. Stay on the highway and it stays under twenty minutes.

Yes, and it is the sensible approach from this distance. Combination treatments put two modalities into one visit, and several of the longer sessions can be extended if you say so when booking.

Some work can be done remotely, though not all of it and not usually as a first appointment. Ask on the call, because whether it suits depends entirely on what you are dealing with.

Call and Rene will tell you what she would begin with, or that the distance is not warranted. There are slots in the evening and on Saturdays.
