Nervous System Reboot in Thirty Minutes
The Nervous System Reboot is a short, deeply restorative session built to bring a system stuck in fight or flight back into rest and digest. You lie on a treatment table fully clothed while warmth, weight, touch and quiet do the work. Nothing to talk through and nothing to explain.
Try It Now
A taste of what the session does
Gentle breath cues are part of the session. Follow the circle for a minute and you will feel a version of what thirty minutes of it does.
Ready
Four seconds in, four seconds out. This is a relaxation exercise, not medical treatment.
Inside the Session
Seven things happen in thirty minutes
All of it layered rather than sequenced, so the effect builds across the session rather than arriving at the end.
Warm aromatherapy towels
Placed along the spine to loosen muscular tension and settle the senses before anything else begins.
Reiki energy healing
Worked through the session to clear stagnant energy and bring the chakras back into alignment. The same practice offered as a full Reiki session.
Hot stone therapy
Focused on the places stress collects first: shoulders, neck, and lower back.
Scalp massager
A wire head massager working the acupressure points across the scalp, which is the part most people are not expecting.
Soft fingernail tracing
Along the arms and back, a light repetitive touch that prompts the parasympathetic response the whole session is aiming for.
Essential oils
Lavender, vetiver and chamomile, chosen to deepen the settling rather than to scent the room.
Music and breath cues
Soft music with gentle breathing prompts to keep you anchored in the present rather than back in the day you just left.
Why It Works This Way
Rest and digest, not fight or flight
The nervous system has two settings that matter here. One prepares you to respond to threat. The other handles rest, repair and digestion. Modern life keeps a lot of people parked in the first one long after anything threatening has happened.
Everything in this session is chosen to prompt the second. Warmth, weight, repetitive light touch and slow breathing are the levers the parasympathetic nervous system responds to, which is why the session does not need conversation to work.
Clients most often describe leaving lighter, more grounded, and clearer than when they arrived. That is what a settled nervous system feels like.
Book This When
- You are burnt out rather than upset about anything specific
- Sleep keeps breaking and you cannot switch the day off
- Tension is physical, sitting in the neck, shoulders and jaw
- You are overstimulated and need less input rather than more
- Half an hour is what you have, which is the whole point of the format

Who You Are Booking
Twenty years watching this work before practising it
Rene D'Antona spent over two decades inside The Balance Health and Wellness Center, first as a teacher and later as its Insurance Manager, before training as a Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy practitioner.
She was a patient there before she was a practitioner, working through chronic neck pain and migraines with holistic care, which is a large part of why the short body first session exists at all.
Clients come to the Lindenhurst office from across the Town of Babylon and the South Shore.
If You Want More
- Reiki Healing for a full sixty minutes rather than thirty
- Integrated Energy Therapy when something emotional sits underneath the tension
- Combination Treatments pairing Reiki with massage and acupuncture in one visit

- Everything else in holistic wellness
Questions
Frequently asked questions
No. There is touch involved, but it is light and repetitive rather than working the muscles. The aim is to settle the nervous system, not to release muscle tissue. If it is massage you want, that is available through The Balance Health and Wellness Center and can be booked alongside Reiki as a combination treatment.
No. You stay fully clothed on the treatment table for the whole session. Wear something comfortable, and layers help since warmth is part of the treatment.
Only a brief check in at the start so Rene knows what she is working with. After that, nothing is expected. Plenty of people book this specifically because it asks nothing of them.
For this kind of work, yes. The session is not trying to resolve anything, it is bringing a system that has been running hot back down. Half an hour does that, and the short format is what makes it something you can repeat rather than save for special occasions.
Reiki is part of this session, but so are hot stones, warm towels, scalp work and breath cues. A standalone Reiki session runs sixty minutes and works primarily with the energy field. This is shorter and layers physical inputs on top.
No. The Nervous System Reboot is a relaxation and wellness session. It does not diagnose or treat any medical condition and is not a substitute for medical or mental health care. If you are managing something, keep seeing your licensed providers and mention it at the check in.
